About me

I'm a true native of Colorado Springs, Colorado.  I had an amazing upbringing with a lot of positive support through my childhood.

I graduated from Bethany College in Kansas.  It was an amazing experience.  The size of the town was 5,000 and the school had a population of 700.  The streets were made of cobblestone, and it had one stoplight.  I loved my time there.

I started teaching in District 20 in May 1993, and spent a year as a Special Ed. Aide at Frontier Elementary.  I then obtained my first teaching job at Wilson Elementary in District 11.  In 2000 I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum in instruction with a focus in Gifted and Talented.  In 2005 I transferred to Scott Elementary and have been there ever since.

On the side I've been a tennis instructor since I was 16.  I continue to teach/play to this day.
